Cookie Policy

Overview of the cookies and comparable technologies used on this website, their purposes, storage periods and the third-party providers involved.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that the browser stores on the user's device. They may contain information about the visit or the user's behaviour and can be read again when the page is revisited. Similar technologies include LocalStorage or SessionStorage. This policy uses the term "cookie" synonymously for all of these storage mechanisms.

2. Legal basis

Technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of the legitimate interest in a functional website (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, § 165 (3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). Optional cookies (statistics, marketing) are set only after the user has given explicit consent in the cookie banner (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, § 165 (3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021).

3. Changing cookie settings

The selection made can be revoked at any time via the link in the footer of the website or by clearing the browser data. The withdrawal applies for the future only; the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal is not affected.

7. Embedded videos (YouTube)

Selected video interviews are embedded via the privacy-enhanced YouTube mode (youtube-nocookie.com). As long as you do not activate a video by clicking the preview thumbnail, the player is not loaded and no YouTube cookies are set. By clicking the thumbnail you consent to the subsequent data transfer to Google Ireland Limited and, where applicable, Google LLC (USA). YouTube cookies are set exclusively by youtube-nocookie.com or youtube.com and serve to deliver the video and to recognise repeat plays within the same session. A full list of cookies set by YouTube is provided by Google at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies . Further information is available in the section "Embedded Videos: YouTube" of the Privacy Policy.

8. Browser settings

Independently of the cookie banner, the setting of cookies can be restricted or completely disabled in the settings of the browser used. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time. Instructions can be found in the help of the respective browser manufacturer. Complete deactivation may result in functional restrictions of the website.

9. Current version of the cookie policy

This cookie policy is current as of 2026-05-26 and will be updated when the technologies used change. Additional information can be found in the Privacy Policy.
